I met Anik Khan sometime mid 2015 when he showed up to my Hands Up exhibit opening. I learned that he was a Queens based rapper of Begali descent and we immediately hit it off even before I heard any of his music. He released his first EP 'I Don't Know Yet' shortly after and I really vibed with his message to push the culture forward. I especially connected with his understanding of identity and how he chose to meld his heritage with his very New York Queens hood persona. I'm pretty confident he's going to do big things for his generation and community, keep an eye on this dude.
